Four killed as van rams parked vehicle in Hyderabad

Four persons, including three of a family died after their DCM van rammed with another van parked on Outer Ring Road in Raidurg in the early hours of Tuesday. Sixteen others travelling in the van sustained injuries and were shifted to nearby hospitals. They were travelling to Hyderabad from Bidar.

The accident occurred around 4.45 a.m. at Vattinagulapally as the DCM van driver Dastagiri failed to notice the stationary van, which was parked to replace one of its punctured tyres, Raidurg Inspector A. Balakoti said. Along with the 25-year-old driver, Mahboob Khan, 55, Moulana Bee, 45, and Tamreen, 12, got crushed to death.

They were residents of Rajendranagar. The police shifted the bodies to Osmania General Hospital for performing autopsy. There were nearly 25 persons in the DCM van. Six others escaped with minor injuries.
