Four held in job racket

The city police on Tuesday arrested the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of T9 news channel along with three of his associates for cheating several people on the pretext of arranging jobs for them in TSGENCO. The police recovered Rs. 2.68 lakh and four mobile phones from them.

According to the police, Komi Reddy Mallanna alias Malla Reddy (33) CEO of T9 news channel and a resident of Medipally along with three of his associates Tulluri Ramesh (43) Lab Assistant at Methodist College, Abids and from Malakpet; Boidi Naresh Babu alias Naresh, (28) of Seethapalmandi, and Dara Venkateshwara Rao alias Venkatesh (44) D.R. Assistant in Secretariat formed into a gang and collected money from two candidates, who have applied for job in TSGENCO.

Ramesh came in contact with the victims, Sairi Venu and E. Mahesh, and assured them of getting them a job if they paid him Rs.10 lakh and asked them to pay Rs.2.5 lakh as an advance. He then introduced Ramesh to Naresh and Komi Reddy.

“The accused paid a total of Rs. 5 lakh as advance after the gang members assured to provide them the exam question paper a day before the test. Later, they started avoiding them,” T. Prabhakar Rao, Joint Commissioner of Police, Detective Department said.
