The Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) next year will be held on May 17 and the notification would be given on February 10. Results will be announced on June 9.
However, the test date may be altered depending on the schedule of the General Elections that are likely to be held in the months of April and May, said APSCHE Chairman L. Venugopal Reddy. The JNTU Hyderabad will conduct the test and N.V. Ramana Rao will be the Convener.

Similarly, the ICET for MBA and MCA admissions will be held on May 23 and notification will be issued on February 14. The Ecet will be conducted on May 10, EdCET on June 2, Lawcet on June 8, PGECET on May 26 and PECET on May 5.
Prof. Reddy, who spoke to the media along with the Technical Education Commissioner Ajay Jain and APSCHE Secretary Sateesh Reddy, said that dates have been finalised while ensuring that they don’t clash with the dates of other national entrance tests like IIT-JEE, VITEEE, KCET, NEET, IIST, AFMC, BITSAT and other related tests.
The press conference was disturbed by a group of slogan-shouting students who barged into the room demanding action against those involved in the irregularities in Lawcet.

They said one G. Ramu had applied for Lawcet at four different centres in the State with different pictures and secured a seat in OU Law College illegally. However, no action was taken against him despite several complaints.
Mr. Sateesh Reddy said that a committee has been constituted and action will be taken once the report is submitted.
Panel to study feasibility of online testThe test is likely to be conducted online from 2015 on the lines of CAT and BITSAT. An indication to this was given by Prof. Reddy, who said efforts were on to make the test online and sufficient time would be given for students before the decision is taken.
The online test will reduce financial and administrative burden.
A committee is likely to be constituted to study the feasibility, particularly the centres and connectivity issues.
An official said that after bifurcation there is a likelihood of power shortage in some regions and rural students may not find online test comfortable.
“Since Eamcet is sensitive we have to be extremely cautious,” officials said.
