This is the longest jail term awarded for drunk-driving and the second time that G. Naresh has been arrested for the same offence

A motorcyclist has been slapped with a 20-day jail term for drunk driving by a local court here on Thursday. This is the longest jail term awarded to a person in a drunk driving case.

Incidentally, this was the second time that G. Naresh was caught for the same offence by the Cyberabad police. The 28-year-old, who works at a private company, was earlier caught nearly two months ago by L.B. Nagar police. He was then let off after being levied a fine. Naresh was caught again on Wednesday night for driving in an inebriated condition.

It was also the first instance when a person was caught twice since the enforcement against drunk driving began almost two years back, police said.

Nagar and Uppal police station limits and booked under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
