Protests by members of Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGDA) at Gandhi Hospital demanding recall of doctors hailing from Andhra Pradesh continued on Wednesday, even as top health officials made an attempt to reach out to the feuding doctors.

Top health authorities, including the Health Secretary, are expected to visit the hospital on Thursday and hold internal meetings with the doctors and hospital management.

The TGDA members maintained that they have every reason to believe that some doctors have produced ‘bogus’ study certificates just to stay in Hyderabad. Holding placards that displayed slogans like ‘Seemandhra Doctors Go Back’, the TGDA members raised slogans for some time on Wednesday on the hospital campus.

Meanwhile, hospital officials said that already top health officials have spoken to the doctors of both the sides and attempts were made to patch-up the differences. The officials said that the health services should not be impacted by frequent protests and difference between doctors.
