Compliments district officials over land records purification and ODF projects

Taking cue from the success of land records purification project in rural areas in the district, which has served as role model for the State, Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao called upon the district officials to complete the land records purification programme in the Sircilla and Vemulawada towns on a war-footing.

The Minister asked the officials to expedite the Mid Manair Dam project works, including the canals, and ensure that tap water connection was provided to each and every household by the coming summer.

The Minister, along with Vemulawada legislator Ch. Ramesh Babu, conducted a review meeting with district officials at his Begumpet camp office on Thursday. He inquired about the road widening works in Sircilla and Vemulawada. He also asked the officials to beautify the walls of Sircilla and Vemulawada towns depicting their history and take up massive plantation activities.

Reviewing the progress of the new Collectorate building and the library building, he also directed the officials to examine the feasibility of constructing an indoor stadium in Sircilla to encourage sports among the youth. He called upon the officials to take all measures for the development of the district and assured adequate funds from the government.

Collector D. Krishna Bhaskar, DRO Shyam Prasad Lal and others were also present.
