Police have termed accidental the fall of a student of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) from the third-floor of a building in the campus on Friday night.
The condition of Neil Kamal, 21, who was admitted to the Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital near Osmania University, was said to be stable.
Kamal, a native of Bihar and a first-year MA English student, was at a party with two of his friends on the third-floor of the academic block on Friday night. While his friends were busy partying, he accidentally slipped and suffered injuries on his back and limbs, police said.

Using breathalysers, police reportedly conducted a blood-alcohol test on Kamal and his friends and found traces of liquor.
“We are trying to know the amount of liquor they had consumed last night. His friends and a few students told us that Kamal suffered wounds while partying in the building,” a police official maintained.
It is learnt that university officials have set-up a committee to look into the incident. Necessary action would be taken after an inquiry report.

A few days ago, a 19-year-old student of the University of Hyderabad had fallen to her death from the fourth floor of an under-construction building at a similar party.
