March 14, 2017 11:38 pm | Updated 11:39 pm IST - HYDERABAD

Chief Secretary S. P. Singh said that weekly reviews should be taken up on drinking water problem.

Reviewing the drinking water supply in rural areas, he said the State had received 18% more rain during monsoon and the water table had come up by six metres. Several Mission Kakatiya tanks had become full.

However teams should be sent to identify problem areas and temporary works related to drinking water should be taken up, he said. In urban areas too, special meetings should be held with municipal commissioners.
