Civils results released; 998 selected

The Civil Services results were released on Friday evening and 998 candidates have been short-listed for appointment into various services.

A post on the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) website said that the top position went to Haritha V Kumar while the second and third positions went to Sriram V and Stuti Charan respectively.

Among the 998 candidates recommended 457 are in the General category (including 23 physically challenged candidates), 295 from Other Backward Classes (including 9 physically challenged candidates), 169 from Scheduled Castes (including 2 physically challenged

candidates) and 77 Scheduled Tribes candidates as against 1,091 vacancies.
