Charred body found on ORR service road

The Cyberabad police on Monday night found the charred body of a person on ORR service road at Kokapet under Narsingi police station limits.

Assailants murdered the victim aged between 20 and 30 years elsewhere, brought it to the ORR service road by stuffing it in a suitcase. They later removed the body from the suitcase and burnt it using petrol.

“We could not identify the body as it was burnt beyond recognition,” a police official said.

The incident came to light when a few villagers noticed the flames and alerted the Village Revenue Officer, who called the police. Police officials pressed a tracker dog into service to trace the killers, but of no avail.

Woman’s death shrouded in mystery

B. Roopa (40) of Gunfoundry died under mysterious circumstances at OGH on Tuesday. According to police she reportedly consumed insecticide at her house on April 20. Her relatives took her to a local hospital and she was discharged. However, on Sunday she complained of uneasiness and was shifted to OGH where she died while being treated. The Abids police are investigating.

Missing girl traced

A four-year-old girl, who went missing from her house at Shalivahananagar under Malakpet police station limits on Tuesday morning was traced to Chaitanyapuri in Dilsukhnagar later in the day. The incident occurred when the girl was playing in front of her house.
