Centre clears proposal for Amberpet flyover

4.62 acres needed for road widening

A four-lane flyover would be built to ease traffic at Amberpet junction and the Union government has cleared the proposals sent by the State government.

Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao said that the flyover will start at Salem Bible Church at Golnaka and end at Mukram Hotel at Amberpet market over the Amberpet crossroads.

The government needs to acquire 4.62 acres for road widening for which ₹ 229 crore plan was prepared while ₹ 11.71 crore would be required for the construction of flyover. It will be 1.415-km long.
