Govt to go soft on constables registered for offence in Telangana movement

The Telangana government has decided to be lenient towards candidates appointed as constables, who did not disclose cases registered against them pertaining to the Telangana movement in application for recruitment of constables.

A special meeting was convened in the office of Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy to discuss the issue.

it was decided that the government should take a favourable view of the candidates who came under the ‘Suppression of Facts’ offence only if cases registered against them were related to the Telangana movement.
