Cancel deputation of doctors: Minister

Collector told to ensure doctors work at their place

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao directed Collector Manickaraj Kannan to cancel the deputation of doctors working elsewhere while being appointed at the government hospital locally.

The issue was brought to the notice of Minister by MLA J. Geeta Reddy at a programme held at Zaheerabad on Saturday. He said that a dialysis centre would be established at Zaheerabad hospital shortly.

Mr. Harish Rao participated in several programmes held in the constituency along with MLA. He laid foundation stone for the construction of sub-station at an estimated cost of ₹ 1.8 crore at Venkatapur village in Kohir mandal.

He also inaugurated a sub-station at Sajjapur, laid foundation stone for the construction of bridge and inaugurated marketing godown at Kakkeravada in Jarasangam mandal and distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques for the beneficiaries at Zaheerabad.

Addressing the meetings, Mr. Harish Rao said that the government has been supplying 24-hour power to farm sector and while in the past power holidays were declared due to short of power supply.

He advised the farmers to remove the automatic starters and replace them with manual starters. He said that sub-station at Venkatapur would address power problems in four villages.

The Minister promised to develop the government hospital to a 30-bedded facility.

Mr. Harish Rao has suggested the officials to send the proposals for new gram panchayats. He has also sanctioned funds for laying of CC roads. Collector Manickaraj Kannan and others and were present.
