BSNL partners with Amazon

One-year membership of Amazon Prime on mobile post-paid plans of ₹399 and above

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has partnered with Amazon to offer one-year membership of Amazon Prime on mobile post-paid plans of ₹399 and above, with no extra charge. It is even extended to landline broadband customers.

Amazon Prime membership includes prime video, music and free fast delivery.

Pratibha Plus, a new plan, has also been launched with unlimited voice calls local/STD/roaming (except in Mumbai and Delhi), for 10 days along with 1GB data and 200 SMS with a validity of 180 days, informed V. Sunder, Chief General Manager of Telangana Circle. The BSNL has received 883 registrations and 332 activations done for its fixed mobile telephony called ‘Wings’, a VOIP internet telephony service for mobile, laptop and tablet using any Internet connection. The mobile app-based service enables customers to make or get voice calls with no SIM card or mobile connectivity for one-time registration charge of ₹1,099.

Installation charges have been waived for a period of 90 days from July 24 to new landline and broadband connections, said Mr. Sunder. With regard to mobile network expansion plan, he said 515 3G towers have been installed in various districts, among which 211 towers have been commissioned and the rest 304 would be done soon.

About 373 2G sites have been commissioned for enhanced voice quality and better data speeds, while 409 4G towers would be installed by the year-end.
