NTR Trust has organised Legendary Blood Donation Drive – 2018, a mega pan-India blood donation drive, to mark the death anniversary of film star-turned politician and founder of the Telugu Desam Party N.T. Rama Rao on Thursday.
NTR Trust managing trustee Nara Bhuvaneswari and trustee Nara Brahmani formally inaugurated the drive at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Thursday morning. Ms. Bhuvaneswari who donated blood to mark the occasion said the trust had been organising the blood donation drive for the past two years in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the drive this time was conducted pan-India. She thanked state level SACS, blood bank partners across the country, the Facebook and volunteers and blood donors. Ms. Brahmani said donating blood was the only solution to save precious lives of people.
She complimented the organisers for expanding the reach of the blood donation drive in 18 States across the country.

NTR Trust CEO T. Vishnu Vardhan said the drive this year saw good response through the social media Facebook in particular which helped in the conduct of the event.
Facebook product lead of health Hema Budaraju said the blood donation tool was developed with the support of NTR Trust. About 60 lakh people enrolled themselves as blood donors on Facebook in the country. ever since the launch of the blood donation feature.
