BJP appeals to youth to avoid committing suicide

‘The Congress has failed to fulfil its promise of creating a separate State’

Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and former union Minister Ch. Vidyasagar Rao appealed to students and the youth of Telangana not to commit suicide. In a statement here on Wednesday, he assured that a separate Telangana would be formed. Along with other party leaders, he expressed condolences and sympathies to Santosh’s family. Santosh, a degree student, committed suicide at Arts College in Osmania University on Wednesday. Meanwhile, BJP State president, G. Kishan Reddy in a statement, held Congress party as responsible for Santosh’s suicide.

He said the youth were being driven to commit suicide as the Congress party failed to fulfil its promise of creating a separate Telangana.

“Santosh was vexed by the government’s tactics for the formation of Telangana. Congress and Telugu Desam Parties were obstructing the formation of Telangana State,” he charged. He requested the youth of the region not to commit suicide.

BJP State Vice-president C. Sambamurthy condemned firing tear gas shells on students, who were taking out a procession in the Osmania University campus on Wednesday.
