Maharashtra Governor inaugurates sports complex at Symbiosis University

The Maharashtra Governor, Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, called upon students to be prepared to grab job opportunities across the world in the next decade in insurance, banking and entertainment sectors as the world would be forced to look at Indian professionals.

Mr. Rao, who was addressing the students after inaugurating a new residential and sports complex of the Symbiosis International University on the city outskirts here, said India would emerge a nation with the average age being eight years lesser than the countries like China and America. This would force those countries to look at Indian workforce. Given this, youngsters have great opportunities now to grab.

He said countries that invested in education were reaping benefits and it was time India also followed suit. Indian universities have to work hard to break into the top ranking institutions in the world.

Mr. Rao also said that girl students were proving their mettle in all spheres and Indian universities should create an eco-system where girl students can excel and take advantage of their multi-tasking abilities.

“It is for us to provide that space for girls in all the universities,” he said, adding that several surveys have proved that companies with more women employees were performing well. He lauded the Symbiosis University for providing quality education across the country.
