Auto driver kills wife suspecting her fidelity

An autorickshaw driver allegedly throttled his 25-year-old wife to death at their residence as he suspected her fidelity. The victim has been identified as Sony alias Swetha from Bhagat Singh Nagar under Saroornagar police station area.

Police said that the accused N Ramu (30), who is currently at large, murdered his wife after a heated altercation. The couple fell in love, got married nine years ago and had three children, including two daughters.

Son spills beans

According to police, the incident occurred around 11.30 p.m. on Monday night. The victim’s four-year-old son reportedly told police that he saw the couple quarrelling.

A search is on to nab Ramu, said the police.
