Another student hangs himself over fee issue

Depressed over not being able to pay college fees, a farmer’s son ended his life by hanging at his house in L.B. Nagar on Monday evening, the police said.

V. Shiva Krishna (20) pursuing degree first year at Sri Nidhi Degree College locked himself into a room on Monday evening.

A little later his family members found him hanging to the ceiling fan in the room. He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

“Krishna stopped going to college as he had to pay a fee amount of Rs.14,000 to the college.

His father is a farmer in Mahabubnagar, while the family stays in the city.

He slipped into depression over the issue and might have ended his life,” L.B. Nagar Inspector, E. Srinivas Reddy said.
