Thursday was a day to cherish for children battling cancer at MNJ Cancer Hospital as they got an opportunity to celebrate the yuletide spirit with ‘Magadheera’ girl Kajal Agarwal.
The actor distributed Christmas gifts and shared cheerful conversations with the children in cancer ward of the hospital during the celebrations organised by IMPACT, an organisation working with children suffering from cancer.
Needless to say, the children were happy, excited and eagerly awaited the actor’s arrival. From the wee hours, children along with nurses decorated their ward with Christmas tree, festooned walls with balloons and confetti. “I am very happy that I got an opportunity to interact with my favourite star and to have received Christmas gifts from her,” said six-year-old Nanda Kishore. There were also children like Ranga Rao who were unaware of the actor visiting the hospital but were pleasantly surprised when they saw her. “We are elated to see Kajal. Till now, I saw her only in movies but today I am happy that I met her in person,” nine-year-old Ranga Rao said. While those in the cancer ward were excited and happy with Kajal’s presence, staff of other wards frowned upon the visit for not being informed in advance and also for many outsiders trooping into the hospital wards to catch a glimpse of the actress.
