TRS Member of Parliament of Karimnagar B. Vinod Kumar on Saturday led a delegation of advocates to Law Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy to represent against the provisional allocation by High Court judges to subordinate courts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He told the Minister that the allocation by High Court did not appear to be proper because the appointment of subordinate judicial officers between the two States must be done by the Central government after appointing an advisory committee as per provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act. The advisory committee is also required to follow guidelines while submitting proposals to the Centre after considering objections. The allocation could be done only after the Centre scrutinised the proposals received from the committee, he said.
Mr. Vinod Kumar said the judicial officers and staff were in the process aggrieved by the unjust allocation of a large number of subordinate judges of Andhra Pradesh to Telangana. The hopes of advocates of Telangana to compete for the posts of district judge and junior civil judge after bifurcation of the State were dashed, he said. He demanded withdrawal of the provisional list of May 3 which was released by the Registrar General of High Court.
