He was one of the most feared gangster in the Telangana state. But, sometimes Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem surprised people with his unusual friendly behaviour.

People who knew him well in Bhongir said that during one of his casual visits recently, he stopped by a hotel on seeing a local politician who was a reputed student leader of left ideology. He walked straight to the politician and touched his feet even as others sitting there were surprised.

“Brother, you were already an established leader when I entered college. I respect you and cannot forget you even now,” Nayeem reportedly said.

This episode was widely discussed in town. The local politician, who was counsellor for more than one time, did not hold any official position then. It was strange that the gangster touched the feet of a local leader even though he did not hold any position, said locals.

In another instance, he approached a middle aged woman on seeing her at Tarnaka a few weeks ago. He stopped the vehicle and walked up to her and wished her but the woman did not recognise him. He introduced himself and informed her that he was young when she was an important public representative in Bhongir municipality.

When he disclosed his identity, she asked him to leave since he would be in trouble if he was recognised by the police. Not even his associates understood why the gangster met the woman and unveiled himself despite knowing that police were after him.

During the meeting with local journalists on ORR recently, Nayeem was seen travelling with two girls in a vehicle. While the conversation was going on between the gangster and the journalists, the girls were seriously scribbling down something in their notebooks. When the journalist asked them who they were, instead of giving a straight reply, the gangster claimed that he was helping many poor children to study and the two girls were among them.
