Settle your disputes in Lok Adalat: Sessions Judge

February 11, 2017 10:50 pm | Updated 10:50 pm IST - NIZAMABAD:

Lok Adalat was a good platform to settle criminal compoundable cases and all kinds of civil cases as there would be no appeal against its award. Further, people who settle their disputes in the Lok Adalat could save money and time, said K. Sujana, Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority.

Inaugurating the Lok Adalath as part of the National Lok Adalath at Nyaya Seva Sadan here on Saturday, she said civil suits could best be settled in the Lok Adalath where court fee that’s already paid would also be refunded to the parties and they could get their disputes resolved once and for all.

She appealed to the litigant public to settle all their disputes, both civil or criminal, in the Lok Adalath. Compoundable cases, excise offences, motor vehicle accident issues, compensation and revenue and bank recovery cases would be taken up for hearing and settlement, she said.
