Satyam trial put off

Published - April 10, 2010 03:00 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

A court here put off the trial in Satyam Computers fraud on Friday following a request by the counsel for Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to grant fifteen days to produce original documents connected with the fraud.

The court, however, conceded his request to hear a case of irregularities in payment of dividend to shareholders by former Satyam management for four years to April 21.

The judge of the economic offences court, T. Rajani, posted the remaining six cases in the fraud for trial on April 29 when the counsel promised to provide evidence on the basis of certified copies of original documents.
