Rice, grains for poor families

Sahayata Trust, a charitable organisation, is distributing rice, dal, wheat flour, sugar, chilli powder, edible oil, tamarind, and turmeric powder to the needy as part of its activity during Ramzan.

Keshaboina Sridhar, a member of the trust and BJP leader, distributed food grains to 100 families in localities around Himayatnagar on Sunday.

According to the trust chief executive Syed Aneesuddin, they collect money from NRIs settled mostly in the United States towards zakat to distribute food grains.

he trust has been distributing 15 kilogramme of rice, two kgs of dal, five kgs of wheat flour, a kg of sugar, chilli powder and tamarind, a litre of oil, half kg ghee, and 200 grams turmeric powder to each needy person during the holy month.
