L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRLH), constructing the project, has been directed by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to ensure that restoration works were done immediately after the construction to facilitate free flow of traffic across the three corridors.
Presiding over the weekly meeting to oversee the progress of the metro rail work on Tuesday, Mr. Sharma called for removal of encroachments by the Revenue Department, Hyderabad Collectorate and the GHMC near the proposed third bridge connecting Rangmahal junction and the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station Imlibun.

The principal secretary of Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department, M.G. Gopal, informed the CS that he had inspected the proposed location of the bridge along with HMR MD N.V.S. Reddy and engineers of RTC.
The Irrigation Department was told to facilitate GHMC and HMR in constructing the bridge.
Mr. Reddy informed the meeting that with demolition of 27 properties, the total number of properties to be demolished has now come down to 254 (193 private and 61 GVM) and that this process will be accelerated as more and more private owners are now cooperating with the authorities in the implementation of the new Land Acquisition Act.
Mr. Sharma called for simplified acquisition of GVM properties.
The TS Central Power Distribution Company was also instructed to complete the relocation of overhead power lines at Jubilee Hills check post, Peddamma temple, Madhapur, Madhuranagar, Khairatabad and Nampally on priority. Senior officials of various Government departments were present at the meeting.
