An agitated Brahmin community has made it clear that it was ready for anything to get the offending scenes deleted from Manchu Vishnu starrer ‘Denikaina Ready’, when they called for a ‘boycott’ of the family of Vishnu for any puja or any programme.
‘No Brahmin would conduct any puja or attend any ritual in their house till they apologise and remove the offending scenes,” said Ch. Rajeshwara Rao, president of the Federation of AP Brahmin Organisations, on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, film actor Vishnu had a bitter experience when irate members of the Brahmin organisations hurled footwear and stones at his car and unleashed a litany of abuses when he went to the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) office in Abids here on Thursday.

The reason for the ire was the recently released film which they feel had insulted their community as they were depicted as avaricious and non-vegetarian eating people.
On Thursday, the controversy further intensified as the actor, son of Telugu film veteran Mohan Babu, wanted to file a petition in SHRC claiming his human rights were trampled when Brahmin association members protested in front of his house in Banjara Hills on Wednesday.
The protestors were roughed up by the private security men of the film hero.

As angry protestors mobbed his car, hurled chappals and ‘coins’ at the vehicle, police intervened to prevent them from surging ahead. Vishnu drove away, as angry protestors raised full-throated slogans against him.
“Go back. You acted like a Goonda last night,” they shouted.
Vishnu maintained that “some persons were organising these protests against him with an ulterior motive”. He, however, did not elaborate.
Earlier, the federation submitted a petition to the SHRC asking it to stop screening of the film.
They had also requested the commission to take note of the attack on them on Wednesday leading to injuries to some of their members.
Commission Judicial Member M. Rama Rao asked the city police to submit a report on the incident by November 16.
Samakhya youth wing vice-president Dronamraju Ravi Kumar said Brahmins across the State would intensify the agitation against the film actor if he fails to apologise.
A ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ for all the members of Brahmin community would also be organised on Sunday.
Meanwhile, All India Brahmin Federation asked the Censor Board to remove the scenes that hurt the sentiments of the community.
In a statement here, federation vice-president J. Sreekanth said Mohan Babu and his son would face consequences if they fail to tender an apology.
