The Jubilee Hills constituency is all set to witness a close fight in all its five divisions with the local MLA P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy going all out to cash-in on the legacy of his father PJR.
Yousufguda, Rahmathnagar, Borabanda, Jubilee Hills and Shaikpet are the five divisions in the constituency.
“We have received good response from public and honestly I am hoping we will win at least four,” sums up Vishnuvardhan Reddy.

The Rahmathnagar division will witness an interesting clash between Srisailam Goud, who is contesting on an MIM ticket, and Congress candidate Bandapalli Chandramma.
The Telugu Desam party candidate from the division T. Vidya Sagar points out that public here are ready for a change and that sentiment will reflect when the votes are counted. “We will emerge victorious,” he asserts.
The Borabanda division, reserved for women, has large number of working class families who are still loyal to PJR. Congress candidate Vanaja Laxman Goud is expected to do well against Telugu Desam candidate J. Sharmila and MIM candidate V. Bhanu.

“We have done a lot of hard work here and our candidate will win,” points out Vishnuvardhan Reddy referring to A. Sudhakar, fighting on Congress ticket from Shaikhpet.
However, Lok Satta party candidate Durgam Pradeep Kumar, a local volleyball coach, points out that public is fed up with broken promises.
“Public here suffer on a daily basis due to bad roads, lack of potable drinking water and improper drainage system. The local MLA and leaders of other parties have done nothing significant here,” he alleges.
Evincing confidence of winning from Yousufguda division, Congress candidate Yadgiri Yadav points out that only Congress can keep its promises. Interestingly, Srisailam Goud's son Naveen, an architecture student, is putting up a tough fight in the division.
With large number of daily labourers, slum dwellers and working class families hailing from the constituency, PJR's legacy will surely be tested in the upcoming local elections.
