OUCE increases placements by 80 per cent this year

Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE) students continued to impress the recruiters with 428 of the final year students receiving job offers, which is almost double compared to last year’s figure of 235 job offers.

The Placement and Training Officer V. Uma Maheshwar said that job offers were made by the three IT majors Accenture, Infosys and Wipro during their Premium Company Recruitment Drive (PCRD). These companies offered 428 jobs to the final year students of BE, ME and MCA.

While Accenture offered 154, Wipro offered 139 and Infosys 135. Prof. Rao said that Accenture’s offer of 154 recruitments is the highest ever by Accenture at OUCE while Wipro has increased the offers by 60 per cent compared to last year. He said ITC Tobacco Division selected one student from BE (Mechanical) course with a pay package of Rs. 8.25 lakh per annum while Capital IQ picked two CSE students for salary Rs 7.5 lakh.

Deloitte and Net Cracker Companies have offered 11 and 16 job offers respectively with average pay package of Rs. 5 lakh. Companies like Oracle, Cavium Networks, Pega Systems, Maruti Suzuki, ITC Bhadrachalam, Tech Mahindra and Mindtree will visit the campus in the coming weeks.
