Narasimhan, wife take holy dip at Gondimalla

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Vimala took a holy ‘Pushkar’ dip in the waters of the Krishna at the Greenfield Ghat in Gondimalla, nine-km from Alampur in Mahabubnagar district, on Saturday.

At about 10 a.m., the couple came by helicopter, landing at the bathing ghat. After having bath and performing special pujas, he flew to a helipad, landing at a Montessori school near Alampur.

He offered his prayers at the shrine of Jogulamba, one of the five ‘Shakti Peethas’, and went to the Haritha guesthouse. Later, around noon, he returned to the State capital.

Speaking to presspersons, he expressed appreciation at the arrangements put in place by the Mahabubnagar district administration.
