To protest closure of roads in Secunderabad Cantonment area, inhabitants of residential colonies around Sainikpuri said they would stage a march on February 14.
Speaking to media on Sunday, residents of a few of the colonies said the roads have been closed without following procedure which has affected people of all walks of life. Uniting against the closure under the banner of Federation of Northeastern Colonies of Secunderabad, the residents informed they would march in protest from A.S. Rao Road to Neredmet.
Members of colonies from Sainikpuri, Yapral, Kapra, A.S. Rao Nagar, Neredmet and traders from Malkajigiri are expected to be part of the march. The members also clarified that the march is not a protest against the Army but against closure which was allegedly not done by involving the civic administration of Secunderabad Cantonmnent Board.
