The city of pearls has come to be synonymous with the thriving IT sector and presently, Hyderabad is home to an estimated 4.5 lakh IT workforce out if which about 70,000 are women employees. A series of shocking incidents, including kidnap and a rape, in the IT corridor of Cyberabad last year has put the spotlight on women safety not just on the streets but also at the workplace.
