The 6{+t}{+h}edition of the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) 2016 being organised here saw eminent speakers addressing the students who came from 150 schools representing 15 countries.
Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Government of India, who was one of the speakers, said how well India progresses depends on the youth of the country. He said India was growing at 7.5 percent per annum and the challenge for India is to grow at 9-10 percent per annum for next three decades.
He said India needs to make itself a very simple and easy place to do business. In the last 68 years of independence India made itself a very complicated and very complex place to do business and the Government of India was simplifying this process though it was a tough work. The GST bill was one of this kind.

He said the Government was ranking the States based on their performance on various parameters like health, education and water and put this in public domain so that people would know how the states were performing.
Vikas Swarup, official spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs of India and Manjeet Kripalani, co-founder and executive director, Gateway House were among those who spoke at the event.
