In swift move, injured techie airlifted from Leh

Swift action on the part of Telangana government on Thursday saved the life of a techie from Hyderabad, who was badly injured in a road accident in Leh, Jammu & Kashmir.

Twenty-three-year-old Chaitanya, working with Microsoft and an alumnus of IIIT, Gachibowli, with his eight friends, embarked on a trip to north India, covering Delhi, Manali, Leh and Ladakh last week. On Tuesday, the bike Chaitanya was riding with his friend skidded off the road resulting in grievous injuries to him.

He suffered facial injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. He was brought on an IAF aircraft to Hindon in Ghaziabad. Telangana Bhavan officials rushed him to a hospital in New Delhi for advanced treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
