Hyderabad airport gets post office

A post office has been established at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, at Hyderabad.

The facility that will cater to passengers, airport community members and people residing in the vicinity was inaugurated on Friday by GMR Hyderabad International Airports Ltd. (GHIAL) CEO SGK Kishore and Chief Post Master General-Telangana Circle Brigadier B. Chandrashekar.

With the opening of the post office, the airport also got a new PIN code - 500108. A release from the GHIAL, which operates the RGIA, said that the airport is used by around 15 million passengers annually.

Located at the C-Level, near car park of the airport terminal nest to the banks, the post office would provide various facilities, including core banking, speed post, registered post articles, money orders, savings bank and issue of cash certificate. It will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
