A two-member division bench of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt on Thursday suspended the Government Order issued on Wednesday substantially reducing the duration of the election process.

The Division Bench also said that State Government should notify reservation of wards for the Scheduled Castes & Tribes, Backward Classes and Women in Greater Hyderabad, latest by Saturday.

Once the reservations were clear, the Election Commission would issue the notification that would mark the beginning of the process for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections and go ahead with the due process of law without reference to the G.O. of yesterday.
