Four of a family die as car rams truck

Four persons including a four-year-old girl, her mother and grandparents were killed instantly when the car in which they were travelling hit a lorry from behind on the highway in Mahabubnagar district before noon on Monday. They were all natives of Kurnool and the only survivor was six-year-old girl who sustained grievous injuries. The grandparents - Naseer Ahmed Khatun (62), who was at the wheel of a Honda car and his wife Rizwana (50) seated next to him died instantly despite the air bags opening, said Alampur Insepector P. Venkateshwarlu. Naseer’s daughter Farzana (26) and 4-year-old Hania who were seated at the back, also died instantly. Six-year-old Aleena, who is Farzana’s other daughter is undergoing treatment. The accident took place at Jallapur when Naseer tried to overtake the truck from the left.
