The State government has announced creation of 58 new posts under the control of the General Administration Department in the State Secretariat.
While a major chunk of 40 posts are of the rank of section officers, the government has decided to create 13 posts of assistant secretary rank officers. In addition, there will be three new posts of deputy secretaries and one post each of the additional secretary and joint secretary. In the orders issued on Friday, the government said the Telangana Secretariat Association had requested for the creation of additional sections and consequential posts in other categories under the control of the GAD in view of the increased work load. It was accordingly agreed in principle to create new sections and posts and hence, the orders, the government said.
