About 1,000 youth turned up to secure jobs at the annual job mela organised by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday.
Armed with certificates, unemployed youth made their way to the Hari Hara Kala Bhavan to attend interviews conducted by the employers.
The event saw around several companies, including Swiggy, Flipkart, Eureka Forbes, TWG International, and Kotak Mahindra, gathering to provide opportunities ranging from delivery personnel to corporate consultants.

The salary packages ranged from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 23,000 per month, along with compensation for food, accommodation, and travel.
Addressing the gathering, B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC, said unemployed youth must come forward to utilise the opportunity and attend interviews to get jobs. He said the previous job melas were successful as youngsters bagged many jobs.
Additional Commissioner of GHMC Bhaskarachary appealed to the candidates to accept and retain their jobs to gain experience and improve their employment prospects in the future. The State government has been proactive in its support for job fair initiatives in the Greater Hyderabad and adjoining districts to combat unemployment among class 10 and Intermediate-pass students, he added.

Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin participated in the job fair and interacted with the participants. He said the Telangana government was keen to help the youth of the city in getting employed as per their qualifications.
Around 300 persons were placed at the job fair.
