Abandoned and living as stray, these lucky puppies and kittens got a new home with loving owners, thanks to a special initiative by Hyderabad Pet Adoption.

On Sunday, a day-long adoption drive was held at KBR Park in which about 200 pet lovers participated. In the end, about 22 puppies and 6 kittens were adopted.

“Many people turned up for the event but we had only 28 of these animals. For the new pet-owners, we gave counselling on how to take care of these little ones. We will also conduct post-adoption checks so as to make sure these pets are being taken good care,” said J. Ananth Robert, organiser of the event. Mr. Ananth informed that the adoption drive will now be a monthly affair and will be held on fourth Sunday of every month.
