Mandal educational officer Chukka Reddy said that 67 students had consumed the mid-day meal food served in the primary school. However, after sometime some 26 students started vomiting reportedly due to food poisoning. Only three students continued to complain of vomiting and the condition of all the other students is stated to be stable and under observation at the Government Headquarters Hospital in Karimnagar town. He said that the school management had also tasted the food served during the mid-day scheme. He suspected that the tomato curry served might have been contaminated due to some rotten tomatoes. However, the food inspector had visited the school and collected the samples and the reports are awaited.
