Garments woven from indigenous textiles Chanderi, Ikat and Maheshwari are being showcased in the Capital by the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India.
Chanderi, made with a mix of silk and cotton is known for its sheer texture, light weight and glossy transparency.
Maheshwari fabric from Madhya Pradesh is woven from silk and cotton fibres and embellished with gold zari in stripes and checks. It often has a dual tone in checks, blocks and prints bearing tribal motifs.

Ikat from Andhra Pradesh is handcrafted in a variety of fibres, cottons, silks and wool.
These products are sourced from weavers, master weavers, artisans, craft persons, national awardees, shilp gurus and textile clusters. The summer collection ‘Woven Wonders’ will be on till June 15.
