Even as Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas ignored summons from the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, the mother of AAP member Santosh Koli, who died in August 2013 following an accident, approached the rights body demanding a CBI probe into her daughter’s death.
Kalawati approached the DCW after her daughter’s name cropped up in the complaint by a woman AAP volunteer against Mr. Vishwas.
“I want a CBI enquiry into my daughter’s death. I had gone to meet [Chief Minister] Arvind Kejriwal after her death, but he threw me out of the house. Since then, nobody from the party has come to see us,” Ms. Kalawati alleged.

Meanwhile, the Commission has written to both Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Police against Mr. Vishwas for failing to appear before it for the second consecutive day.
“We called the husband of the woman volunteer to the Commission and he came. Our attempt is to unite them as the woman has alleged that her husband left her after rumours of her affair with the AAP leader. Mr. Vishwas hasn’t bothered to reach here today [Wednesday],” DCW chairperson Barkha Shukla Singh told journalists here.
The DCW had first issued summons to Mr. Vishwas and his wife on May 4, asking them to appear before it by 3 p.m., but he failed to do so saying he had not received any notice from the Commission.

Following this, the DCW on Tuesday issued fresh summons to him to appear before it. Ms. Singh, in front of the television cameras, requested Mr. Vishwas to appear before them and help save the woman’s family.
The complainant, who was also present at the DCW, accused Mr. Kejriwal and Mr. Vishwas of being “very insensitive” and alleged that “Mr. Vishwas and Mr. Kejriwal were concerned about their dignity, what about mine and my family?”
The complainant woman’s husband told the journalists: “I want Kumar Vishwas and his wife to come forward and clarify. Only then I will accept her [my wife].”
