Three foreign nationals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in several cases of dacoity in the city, the police said on Saturday. One of the three Bangladeshi nationals had entered India illegally, they said.
DCP (Crime Branch) Dr. Ram Gopal Naik said the accused have been identified as Kamrul alias Kamaal, Sahidul Islam alias Abu Sahid and Nazrul.
The officer said five cases of dacoity have been solved with their arrest.

The accused had fled to Bangladesh after committing the crime, he added.
After many cases of dacoity committed by a gang across India came to fore, the officers said they got information that a gang led by one Kamrul is active in India.
Acting on a specific input that members of the gang would come to Sarai Kale Khan, a trap was laid and the three persons were arrested on Friday night.

Items recovered
Two countrymade pistols and four live cartridges were recovered from their possession, the police added.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were found to be convicted in several cases of Delhi-NCR.
“As per the record of their passport, Kamrul had come to India eight times from July 2017 and Sahidul three times. Nazrul had entered India after paying ₹5,000 to a broker in Bangladesh,” said Mr. Naik.
Modus operandi
The gang used to target houses in posh colonies, the police said.
They would enter through the window after cutting the grills, overpower all the members, loot valuables and run away.
“If any member resisted during the robbery, they would not hesitate to murder. The trio mostly resided in and around railway stations or in forested areas of the city,” the officer added.
