The Delhi BJP will enrol several “eminent personalities” from the Capital as members at a significant programme related to the party’s national membership drive to be held here on Sunday.
The party’s State chief Manoj Tiwari, on Saturday, inspected preparations being made for the ‘Sangathan Parv’ at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium even as he said that the drive would prove to be a “milestone” for the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled early next year.
“The membership campaign has already been launched today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah and will be launched at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in a big programme tomorrow for which all the preparations have been completed,” Mr. Tiwari said.

BJP national vice-president and national membership campaign head Shivraj Singh Chauhan will inaugurate the campaign at the stadium on Sunday, the party said in a statement.
Strengthening step
“The Sangathan Parv-Sadasyata Abhiyan is a step to strengthen the party because members are the backbone of any organisation. This has become more important because the Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi shortly. We are confident that we will achieve the target for enrolling more and more new members and strengthen the party, which will prove to be a milestone in ensuring a victory in the Assembly elections,” Mr. Tiwari added.
