Six men were arrested in two separate incidents of robbery in south-east Delhi on Tuesday, the police said.
“The policemen of Govindpuri and Okhla Industrial Area police station patrolling in Emergency Response Vehicle [EVR] van nabbed two gangs of robbers,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East), Chinmoy Biswal.

The ERV staff of Govindpuri police station arrested three men for robbing a man of his mobile phone.
The victim had alerted the EVR passing through the area, the police said, adding that the mobile phone has been recovered.
In another incident, ERV staff of Okhla police station nabbed three men for robbing a passer-by, the police said.

During patrolling at around 1.30 a.m., a man informed the ERV staff that two men had taken his mobile phone and wallet containing cash.
The victim also told the police that the miscreants sped away towards ESI hospital in an auto with their third accomplice who was the driver.
After a brief chase, the police intercepted the auto and arrested the three men.
Mr. Biswal said, “All the arrested are residents of JJ Colony. The policemen have been rewarded with a commendation certificate and cash.”
