Several government offices including the Delhi Secretariat were visited by teams of the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in relation to an alleged scam in the procurement of medicines and ambulances here on Thursday.
Sacked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Kapil Mishra had recently alleged corruption in the Health department following which he lodged a formal complaint with the ACB.
The search operations were carried out at offices under the Delhi health department, according to a source in the ACB, and were aimed at gathering documents and files pertaining to the said procurement.

"These are initial searches and the aim was only to gather paperwork (related to the procurement of medicines and ambulances) which can be examined before further action - if required," said the source adding that the ACB was required to be examine the said documents before officially launching an investigation into the alleged scam.
The anti-graft body is currently investigating an alleged scam in the Delhi Jal Board and the Public Works Department in addition to the fresh development.
Last week, Mr. Mishra had accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Health Minister Satyendar Jain of misappropriating health funds.

He had also claimed that three health scams, including one involving Rs. 300 crore in relation to procurement of medicines, had taken place within the AAP government.
The Kejriwal government, he claimed, improperly procured medicines, overpaid for ambulances and violated rules in transfers and appointments.
Reacting to the fresh charges against Mr. Kejriwal, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari had written to Lieutenant- Governor Anil Baijal, urging him to get files and paper work related to the alleged scams seized.
