March 01, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 02:36 pm IST - MYSURU:

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is set to marry Trishika Kumari Singh

The Amba Vilas Palace will soon host the most-awaited wedding of Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the adopted son of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, with Trishika Kumari Singh, who belongs to a royal family in Rajasthan.

Sources close to the Mysuru royal family told The Hindu that the wedding is certainly happening, but dates are yet to be finalised.

Though speculation is rife that the wedding is likely to take place in May, sources claimed that Ms. Wadiyar may finalise the dates only in March after consulting the ‘Rajgurus’ and palace priests.

The Kalyana Mantap, which has hosted royal weddings, auspicious events and the coronation of Mr. Yaduveer, is likely to be the setting for the wedding.

“It’s going to be another memorable event in the annals of Mysuru palace as a wedding of a royal family member is happening after several years. Therefore, it will certainly be a momentous occasion for the family,” sources said.

The marriage will be as per the tradition followed by the family since generations.
