In a joint raid, the Delhi government’s excise department and the police busted a rave party at Dhan Mill compound in south Delhi on Sunday morning.
The police said over 600 men and women, including minors, were held during the raid. They also seized a large quantity of liquor and drugs from the venue.
The party-goers were later allowed to go, the officials said, adding that eight organisers have been arrested while two are absconding.

A French DJ was performing at the party and tickets were sold online at ₹2,000 per person and ₹3,000 per couple, said officials.
A senior excise department official said they got specific information regarding the party being organised at AGENC Colab in Chhatarpur on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. “We received inputs that the party organisers have obtained a temporary licence in the name of one Pulkit Rastogi to serve liquor but instead they would be serving alcohol from Haryana. We also got to know that there would be drugs. A joint team of the excise department and the police raided the party venue,” said the official.

During the raid, 156 bottles of foreign liquor (non-duty paid) and reservation cards with ‘Wedance X Phat Cow Highlight Music Festival’ written on them were seized. “Pulkit from Faridabad was arrested. We recovered 17 dark brown tablets, 20 pink tablets of charas and morphine from him,” said an officer.
On his disclosure, the police recovered 75 bottles of foreign liquor (non-duty paid) and ₹1.39 lakh cash from a luxury car parked inside the venue. They claim to have recovered 12 bottles of foreign liquor from another vehicle there.
“We have recovered ₹5.55 lakh cash from the venue. An FIR was registered at the Mehrauli police station under relevant sections of the excise and NDPS Act. The case is under investigation,” said the officer.
Gaurav Mavi and Ali Chitley are said to be absconding.
