Some people claiming to be volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party protested outside party leader Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on Tilak Lane against the party’s decision to declare Ashutosh as the Lok Sabha candidate from the Chandni Chowk constituency.

The party, however, rejected the claim saying the protesters were not its volunteers. The volunteers claimed that they were upset that the AAP gave the ticket to an “outsider” and to someone who had joined the party only recently. They were demanding that the party should have instead fielded a “local” volunteer.
